Peter Burns Mock Trial Competition

The Peter Burns Mock Trial Competition is an annual event presented by the University of British Columbia Faculty of Law. Local lawyers volunteer to coach a group of law students who will present a mock trial to be judged by members of the British Columbia Provincial Court and Supreme Court judiciary.
Harper Grey LLP is proud to be the primary law firm sponsor of the event. Many of our lawyers have participated in the competition, either when they were students or later on as volunteer coaches.
The winners of the Peter Burns event will go on to the Western Canadian mock trial competition. The ultimate goal is to compete at the Sopinka Cup, the national mock trial competition.
