Health Care Costs Recovery Act
Continuing Legal Education Society of BCOctober 23, 2009
The BC Health Care Costs Recovery Act and Regulations came into force on April 1, 2009. This statute of general application allows the government to recover a wide range of health care costs associated with personal injuries that result from negligence or wrongdoing of a third party. The Act places new duties on injured parties and insurers to cooperate with the government and provide information. This half-day program will bring you quickly up to speed on the issues, practice pitfalls, and practice pointers that you need to be aware of in the new world of personal injury law. You will work through specially designed fact patterns which illustrate the nuts and bolts practice issues raised by the HCCRA.
Harper Grey LLP partner Guy Brown was a featured speaker at this seminar.
