Health Care Costs Recovery Act

The BC Health Care Costs Recovery Act and Regulations came into force on April 1, 2009. This statute of general application allows the government to recover a wide range of health care costs associated with personal injuries that result from negligence or wrongdoing of a third party. The Act places new duties on injured parties and insurers to cooperate with the government and provide information.
