Condo Pre-Sale Litigation

March 23, 2009

The lower mainland real estate market has changed rapidly in the past year. When the market was up, many signed pre-sale contracts with condominium developers. Now that the market is down, many cannot meet those contracts and are at serious risk.

Developers, dealing with a softening real estate market are pursuing those who cannot buy condos at the price originally agreed to.

Harper Grey acts for those who signed pre-sale contracts and are being sued (or are at risk of being sued) by developers who want to keep their deposits.  We also act for people who are being sued by developers trying to recoup "losses" incurred when they sell those condos to others at a price lower than originally set.

We act for groups of purchasers in the same development, and also for individuals. The groups pool resources to lower their individual legal costs and increase their negotiating power by hiring our team of lawyers. Read more on our condo pre-sale litigation page.
