Kim Jakeman practices primarily in the fields of Health law, Insurance and Commercial Litigation.  She is very experienced in matters involving professional negligence.  Kim has appeared as counsel in a number of high profile trials, and has also represented clients in the BC Court of Appeal and in the Supreme Court of Canada.

Background

Kim is an active leader in the legal profession, participating in a Canadian Bar Association mentoring program for junior female lawyers and speaking at many in-house training seminars on the practice of law. She has made annual presentations on ethics and professional negligence to students in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. Kim's writing has been published by several legal journals, including The Advocate and The Lawyers Weekly.
