Jan Sherman RN, BScN, has been a member of our Health Law practice group for 16 years.  Having obtained her Registered Nursing status in 1976, she worked in the nursing field for 15 years before joining our firm.  She draws on her nursing experience in the areas of labour and delivery, pediatrics, medicine, neonatal intensive care, and critical care when working on complex medical legal cases in a support capacity to the lawyers.  Her role in these cases is varied and includes gathering the relevant documents to assess the issues, analysing and summarizing the medical records, identifying and retaining the appropriate experts, researching the medical literature, and interviewing professional and non-professional witnesses.
