Scott Marcinkow joined Harper Grey LLP in the summer of 2006 as a student. He returned as an articling student in 2007-2008 and following his call to the bar in 2008, Scott joined the firm as an associate.

Scott practises in insurance law and professional regulation.

Representative Client Work

Administrative Law

  • Successfully representing a client at the BC Human Rights Tribunal hearing in a claim against her employer
  • Assisting complainants in matters before the BC Human Rights Tribunal
  • Assisting employers in the defence of complaints made to the BC Human Rights Tribunal

  • Successfully representing an insurance broker at the Insurance Council of British Columbia
  • Advising physicians on issues of professional conduct, ethics and regulatory matters
  • Assisting various professionals (including physical therapists, psychologists and lawyers) in investigations by their regulatory bodies

Background

Scott was born and raised in Burnaby, BC. He obtained his undergraduate degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University in 2004 and his law degree from the University of British Columbia in 2007. He completed the last term of his law degree on exchange at the University of Leiden, Netherlands in 2007.

Scott enjoys playing hockey, golfing and traveling.
