Scott Marcinkow to participate in CPHR BC Legal Symposium 2021 Series
December 29, 2020
Harper Grey Workplace Law Group chair, Scott Marcinkow, will participate in the upcoming CPD accredited Legal Symposium 2021 Series presented by CPHR BC. In this three-part legal series, expert lawyers will address the most pressing employment law and workforce challenges, accommodation updates, health and safety and all the potential impacts employers may face as the pandemic continues to affect organizations.
On January 28, 2021 Scott will present “Vaccination Issues for Workplaces in 2021” in Legal Series Part 1: 2020 Look Back and 2021 Look Ahead. This session will cover key questions employers are asking about how to manage COVID-19 vaccination issues in their workplaces in 2021. For example:
- Can employers require employees to obtain a COVID-19 vaccination?
- Should employers encourage COVID-19 vaccinations?
- Can employers require employees to disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status?
- Can employers treat employees differently if they refuse to get a COVID-19 vaccination?
The effects from the pandemic in 2020 have brought both novel and challenging employment law shifts, unlike in previous years. Employers should be continually monitoring and staying informed of new legal developments if they want to effectively manage their workplace obligations in 2021. This online Series offers employers an opportunity to learn first-hand from leading lawyers about the potential impacts employers face as the pandemic continues.
