Una Radoja to co-present at November PBLI: Contaminated Sites Workshop

At the upcoming PBLI: Contaminated Sites Workshop, Harper Grey’s Una Radoja will co-present “J.I. Properties – The ‘Polluter Pays’ Principle Revisited – Part 1: Liability – Part 2: Statutory Exemptions” which will provide a current, in-depth discussion of the “Polluter Pays” principle following the BCSC’s decision in J.I. Properties.
The Workshop will address new law and emerging issues relating to Contaminated Sites and the comprehensive one-day program will provide:
- A clear understanding of the core legislation and cornerstone case law affecting contaminated real estate;
- Answers to limitation periods applied to remediation related recovery.
- Insight into the current perspective and future direction of the Ministry of Environment, including compliance certificates, orders and enforcement.
