Aren Altman*

Aren is a senior corporate commercial solicitor with over twenty years of experience advising entrepreneurs and owner-operated businesses ranging in sophistication and complexity. He specializes in general business law matters across diverse industries representing a cross-section of owner-operated businesses, including entertainment, medical professionals, health and wellness, and hospitality. Aren takes pride in allowing his creative clients the freedom to do what they do best, providing confidence that he will protect and advance their interests.

A problem solver and deal maker, Aren takes a pragmatic approach when helping his clients navigate their legal issues. Aren informs his clients about the law as it applies to their business and develops systems to manage how those legal issues are dealt with on an ongoing basis. In the big picture, a well-documented business venture will be managed more effectively and be more attractive to potential partners, investors, and purchasers.

Following the completion of his law degree, Aren attended Emily Carr University where he studied digital film and photography. This education has specially equipped him with a unique and informed perspective that he draws upon when approaching the challenges faced by his creative clients.

Aren founded and managed the business and entertainment law boutique Altman & Company for twenty years before joining Harper Grey in 2025.
