James C. Dawson

James joined Harper Grey in 2026, bringing extensive experience advising clients on a broad range of insurance-related matters, including property damage, product liability, bodily injury, employment, construction, and strata property claims.

James has appeared before the Supreme Court and Provincial Court of British Columbia and has significant experience representing clients before administrative tribunals, including the Civil Resolution Tribunal and the Human Rights Tribunal.

Outside the office, James maintains an active lifestyle through HIIT training, running, mountain biking, and snowboarding. A passionate foodie, he also holds a Red Seal Certification in the culinary arts and has trained in French and Italian fine dining.
