Roshni is a solution-oriented and practical lawyer with a wealth of experience in health, professional regulation and privacy law.

Biography

Roshni has a wealth of experience advising clients across her health law, professional regulation and privacy and data protection practice.

In her professional regulation practice, Roshni represents physicians and other health professionals in complaint and disciplinary proceedings before their regulatory bodies, hospitals, and health authorities. She also defends physicians in medical negligence litigation matters.

Roshni is Co-Chair of the firm’s Privacy and Data Protection Group. In her privacy practice, she acts for clients to pursue and defend claims under the Privacy Act and the Intimate Images Act. She also assists both public and private clients navigate their obligations under provincial and federal privacy protection legislation. She has experience managing complex regulatory matters before the Office of the Information Privacy Commissioner, including privacy breach reporting and investigations and Freedom of Information inquiries.

Roshni has appeared before all levels of court in British Columbia and various administrative tribunals. Prior to joining Harper Grey, Roshni worked as in-house counsel for a large regulator of health professionals overseeing discipline, Health Professions Review Board and unauthorized practice matters. She also has several years of experience practicing as a general commercial litigator. Her well-rounded experience provides her with the unique and informed perspective she brings to her practice.

Roshni was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and is an avid traveler and self-proclaimed foodie.
