District Court orders Federal Trade Commission in USA from enforcing noncompete rule

On August 22, 2024, we posted on our blog about a new Federal Trade Commission rule in the USA prohibiting most non-competition agreements.
The FTC rule has been set aside by a decision of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Texas. This ruling applies nationwide and means the new FTC rule cannot take effect on September 4, 2024. The FTC may appeal the decision.
