Jeff Sheremeta*

With over twenty-five years of experience providing strategic legal advice to business owners, Jeff is an integral member of our business law group. Whether working with private or public companies, the thread that has woven through Jeff’s unique career has been his passion and drive to understand his clients’ businesses.

After six years of practice in the areas of securities, corporate finance and M&A, Jeff’s entrepreneurial spirit led him to work as in-house counsel for a number of public and private companies in a variety of industries including technology, software and mining. His expertise in transactional negotiations, drafting a wide range of commercial contracts and managing compliance with corporate and stock exchange policies, was honed consulting on numerous equity and debt financings for proceeds of up to $40 million.  Jeff returned to private practice in 2021 with Harper Grey and now advises clients on IPOs, financings, plans of arrangement and other similar transactions.

As a past executive and board/committee member at numerous companies that he co-founded, including Versapay Corporation, Argentum Silver Corp., and Arco Resources Corp., Jeff draws on his own experiences to advise clients on the legal aspects of establishing, financing and operating a company.  While Jeff’s expertise is underpinned by his knowledge of the rules and regulations of business creation and operation, his elevated client relationships are based on enabling and problem solving, his collaborative mindset and his ability to draw on the unique insights, perspectives, and skills.
