Biography

Joe maintains a broad civil litigation practice, focused on personal injury, insurance, and health law.

In his personal injury practice, Joe represents clients injured in accidents including motor vehicle, motorcycle, bicycle, pedestrian, assaults, dog bites, slip and falls, and environmental contamination. He also has experience in professional negligence suits. In all instances, Joe is highly attentive to the needs of his injured clients and focused on obtaining the best possible result for their case, and to assist them with their medical recovery.

In his insurance practice, Joe acts for insurance clients on coverage, liability and subrogation matters. Joe takes a pride on addressing each of his files with an approach that is solution focused. He is alert to opportunities for swift resolution.

Joe defends health professionals both in civil claims as well as matters before their regulatory body. He has defended complex matters including spinal cord injury, brain injury, severe infections and amputations.

With vast and varied litigation experience, Joe has appeared before the Provincial Court, BC Supreme Court, Human Rights Tribunal as well as other administrative tribunals.

Passionate about contributing to the legal community as whole, Joe is an active volunteer with Access Pro Bono, providing assistance to low-income individuals through the Summary Advice Program.

Outside of the office, Joe enjoys spending his time woodworking and running – or with his dog.
