Tarek Elneweihi judges “Recording of the Year” category for Western Canadian Music Awards

Harper Grey Lawyer, Tarek Elneweihi, had the privilege of serving as a judge for the Western Canadian Music Awards last spring for the category of “Recording of the Year.”

The award festival, BreakOut West, was hosted the Western Canadian Music Alliance on September 24 – 28 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. The winner in Tarek’s category was a band from Saskatchewan called Dump Babes.

The Western Canadian Music Alliance is an organization created by the Music Industry Associations (MIA’s) of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, The Northwest Territories, and the Yukon Territory to promote and celebrate western Canadian music. Read more about the alliance here.

Prior to the completion of his law degree, Tarek toured and performed as a professional musician and produced and mixed several albums for both his own projects and other artists/bands.
