Una Radoja Included in Benchmark Litigation 2019 40 & Under Hot List for Second Consecutive Year

August 7, 2019

We are proud to announce that Harper Grey partner, Una Radoja, has been recognized for the second consecutive year as one of North America’s top young litigators aged 40 and under by Benchmark Litigation.  She was recognized among only 14 other young lawyers within Canada.  Released annually, the Benchmark Litigation 40 & Under Hot List commemorates the most notable up-and-coming litigation lawyers in Canada and the US.  Based on the results of an extensive peer review and case examination process, those recognized have had a hand in some of their firm’s most noteworthy cases and have earned praise from clients and peers regarding the quality of their work.  Congratulations Una!

Benchmark Litigation had this to say about Una in their analysis:

“Una Radoja at Vancouver commercial and insurance institution Harper Grey attends to a practice focused on commercial litigation, environmental law, and real estate disputes. She is also the co-chair of the firm’s environmental regulation and disputes practice group. In her commercial litigation practice, she has acted in a number of high-profile multi-party disputes, often involving novel legal issues and, occasionally, application of foreign law. These include a breach of trust claim by a foreign billionaire seeking $60 million in damages; a breach of an oral lease agreement for damages of approximately $10 million; a breach of fiduciary duty claim by a public company against its former board of directors for damages in excess of $15 million; and various breach of contract, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud and negligence claims in a variety of commercial contexts. In her environmental law practice she has acted for the City of Burnaby in another appeal involving a certificate of compliance issued by the director for certain City lands, on which the City was successful. She has acted in numerous complex, multi-party remediation cost recovery claims, defended large corporations facing quasi-criminal environmental charges, and assisted developers in redeveloping large contaminated sites across the Greater Vancouver Region.”
