Aileena is a paralegal assisting the lawyers in our commercial litigation group.

Biography

In her current role, Aileena provides comprehensive support to the firm’s lawyers in all stages of commercial litigation to ensure the effective delivery of legal services to clients. Her responsibilities include file management, legal document preparation and court filings, communication with clients and other professionals, translation and interpretation, and serving as a liaison between lawyers and Chinese-speaking clients. She also assists with various administrative tasks as needed to ensure efficient client service.

Originally from mainland China, Aileena immigrated to Canada in 2009. She obtained her Legal Administrative Studies Certificate from Kwantlen Polytechnic University and subsequently earned her Paralegal Diploma from Vancouver Community College. In 2024, she completed the Legal Interpretation and Translation Certificate at Simon Fraser University.

Aileena is an active member of the BC Paralegal Association and the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, as well as an associate member of the Society of Translators and Interpreters of British Columbia. A native Mandarin speaker, she is also fluent in Cantonese. To further complement her current role and enhance the range of services available to clients, Aileena is working toward becoming a certified English-to-Chinese translator.

Outside of work, Aileena enjoys flexing her green thumb and spending time in her garden. She takes great pride in tending to her flowers, herbs, and orchard.
