Aileena is a paralegal assisting the lawyers in our commercial litigation group.
Biography
In her current capacity, Aileena supports our lawyers in various areas and stages of civil litigation in the delivery of legal solutions to the firm’s clients, including but not limited to file management, legal document preparation and court filings, communication with clients and other parties or professionals, providing translation/interpretation, acting as liaison between lawyers and Chinese-speaking clients, and performing other administrative tasks as necessary.
Originally from Guangzhou, China, Aileena immigrated to Canada in 2009 and received her Legal Administrative Studies Certificate from Kwantlen Polytechnic University. She then went on to receive her Paralegal Diploma from Vancouver Community College. Aileena is an active member of the BC Paralegal Association.
In addition to her mother tongue of Mandarin Chinese, Aileena also speaks fluent Cantonese. She is working on a Legal Interpretation and Translation Certificate (Mandarin Chinese/English) at Simon Fraser University and expects to finish in 2024.
Outside the office, Aileena enjoys flexing her green thumb and spending time in her garden.
