Harper Grey supports Access Pro Bono’s 2014 “Free Legal Advice-A-Thon Going Public” event as lead sponsor

Access Pro Bono’s annual “Free Legal Advice-A-Thon Going Public” event facilitates access to justice for low- and modest-income people by engaging volunteer lawyers in advising pre-scheduled and drop-in clients on various legal issues. The outdoor “legal advice-a-thon” is held over five days – one day in each of Vancouver, Surrey, Victoria, Kelowna and Kamloops and calls significant media attention to the legal community’s efforts to increase access to justice, while serving the public and raising much-needed funds for BC’s pro bono programs.
For more than a century, Harper Grey has been committed to giving back to the community that has given so much to us”, says Richard Bereti, Managing Partner of Harper Grey LLP. “Making a positive and lasting difference in the communities in which we live and work is an integral part of our culture. We are pleased to sponsor Access Pro Bono’s ‘Going Public’ event as it offers another rewarding opportunity to make a difference through supporting BC’s pro bono programs and actively participating in providing free legal advice to those who may not otherwise have access to justice.”
This year’s Vancouver open-air legal advice clinic will be held on Friday, September 5 from 10:00AM to 5:00PM in Victory Square Park. Read more about this event here.
