Since 2014, Harper Grey has supported Access Pro Bono’s “Going Public” event as Title Sponsor – and we’re stepping up again this year
July 25, 2018
The goal of the Access Pro Bono Going Public event is to facilitate access to justice for low- and modest-income people by engaging volunteer lawyers in advising pre-scheduled and drop-in clients on a wide range of legal issues. The “legal advice-a-thon” calls significant media attention to the legal community’s efforts to increase access to justice, while serving the public and raising much-needed funds for BC’s pro bono programs. Our involvement offers our firm another rewarding opportunity to make a difference through supporting BC’s pro bono programs and actively participating in providing free legal advice to those who may not otherwise have access to justice.
The Vancouver Free Legal Advice-A-Thon will occur on two dates – the first at Victoria Square Park on September 7 and the second at the Vancouver Art Gallery – North Plaza on September 12. Both days will run from 10:00AM to 5:00PM. A telephone clinic will also be held for those unable to make it to the outdoor clinics which will allow volunteers to reach even more people in need of legal advice across the province.
We urge you to consider participating in this year’s Legal Advice-A-Thon to help raise much needed funds for Access Pro Bono’s vital programs.
