National Indigenous History Month

June 2, 2023

June is National Indigenous History Month, a time to recognize the long and rich history of Indigenous Peoples on Turtle Island. Indigenous Peoples from diverse and culturally rich communities have contributed to every aspect of Canadian life, including law, land stewardship, arts, sciences, sports business, politics and education.

The Harper Grey Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging Committee (DIBC) will present a weekly mini series for our firm members to learn about, appreciate and acknowledge some of the First Nation communities upon whose territory and unceded lands we work and play.

On June 19 our firm will gather to share performances by Métis Jiggers and Fiddlers together with Bannock and a display of Indigenous art.

We look forward to sharing with you the learning our firm members are doing this month.
