Harper Grey Hosts Innovation Kick-Off Event

November 21, 2019

Our Innovation Kick-Off Event, held on November 19, 2019, brought together the entire firm in the first of a series of events supporting our innovation initiative. The event was facilitated by Lee-Anne McAlear, an award-winning educator, consultant, writer, speaker and program director of Schulich’s Centre of Excellence in Innovation Management at York University.  She led us through an innovative and immersive workshop on innovation and disruption and their impact and helped guide us to a shared understanding and vision of innovation at Harper Grey.

“Innovation doesn’t happen without a plan or a process and it certainly doesn’t happen in isolation”, commented Innovation Committee Chair Chris Rusnak.  “Collectively we have a vast amount of knowledge, experience and varied perspectives, that can be utilized to uncover breakthrough ideas and initiatives.  We are working to create a space where those innovative ideas can be cultivated and develop online tools to help us collect those ideas and crowdsource suggestions or new solutions.  At Harper Grey we are taking active steps to ensure that innovation at our firm is more than a buzzword.”
