This new and comprehensive course, chaired by Harper Grey’s Joel Morris, will review the key elements of what it takes to excel as a junior litigator – from personal temperament, to work ethic, to writing, to trial preparation, to advocacy and trial. The course is aimed at junior litigators and will focus on various topics including what senior counsel look for in a junior, how to be most effective in assisting senior counsel and skills that make for an effective advocate. The program includes presentations by Harper Grey partners Chris Rusnak on “Effective Legal Writing for Junior Counsel” and “How to Be A Great Junior Part I: Before Trial” by Kim Jakeman. The course will be held on Friday, May 12, 2017 in Vancouver.
